THE PROPHET IBRAHIM’S TOMB WHO
BUILT KABE LOCATES AT THE “HAZAR BABA” SKI CENTER in the
town of ELAZIG
TOPAL; “We can make there a pilgrimage center to the muslims,
jewish and Christians”
Mr. Mehmet Topal, the writer of our web site and the director of
the local newspaper Uluova, the journalist-writer and specialist
of common people relations; has completed his 2 years of
investigation that
can light the way for Elazig’s belief tourism and ensure in
helping the economy of the town.
According to the explorotary investigation done by Mr. Topal,
The Azer’s tomb, the prophet Ibrahim’s father; who are approved
and agreed by Muslims, Jewish and Christians, who is believed
that he built “the kabe”, who did not hesitate sacrificing his
son Ismail to god “Allah” with respect to the messages took in
his dreams, has been at the summit of “Hazar Baba” ski
center in
Sivrice
province of
Elazig,
and his sister Hacihan’s mausoleum is in the village of Kurk in
the same province. The people living around region visit the
tomb and mausoleum at each spring and summer, keep wishes and
make vow sacrifices particularly by childless women and/or
having difficulties in having a child.
WHO’S AZER?
Azer,
The Prophet Abraham’s father and the prophet Mohammed’d grand-father.
He lived in the times of Nemrud, the Ruler of
Babylons. He was a
talented moderator in carpentery, astronomy, and also in
engineering. He was such honored personality at the time and
close to the Ruler Babylon Nemrud. According to some written
sources he was originally from the Harran creation. As well
known, Nemrud willed to burn the prophet Abraham in the town of
Sanliurfa, but he was unsuccesfull in his action. As we bring
together the triangle of the Nemrud mountain in Adiyaman, the
Fishy lake in Sanliurfa and the Hazar Baba Mountain (local ski
center) in Elazig, the “Azer Baba” at the top of the Hazar
mountain, appears as legendarily known, humbled and simple grave
where is visited by people living in the area of this triangle.
The tomb of Azer, who ended the
sovereignty of Nemrud and his unjustesness,
is
such an important cultural inheritance from the past generation
up to today. The local people who live around that region of
traingle believe that the tomb at the top of “Hazar Baba
Mountain” belongs to the Azer, the father of The prophet
Abraham, and women who most often visit the tomb sacrifice vows
if they have baby after their visits.
